For Christmas we decided to create an art studio for the kids and it was hands down their favorite surprise!   All of our kiddos love crafting, drawing, and creating and we desperately needed a designated space for them to do all these activities in and my kitchen table desperately deserved a break!  🙂

We decided this room was going to need a couple different work areas since our kids range in ages 10-3 there is a big difference in their needs.  We added a couple desks a long the wall for the older boys and this darling coloring table that is perfect for Parker and Mabel!

As you know one of my top priorities in 2018 was getting organized!  For the first couple of years in our home, I would get so frustrated because it never really felt like anything had a place.  We didn’t have any built-ins or shelves and after realizing that we absolutely need these storage spaces in our home for it to function smoothly I took the plunge and designated a part of our budget to go toward these projects.   You may recall our pantry makeover and our garage project that we recently took on so I knew that working with The Container Store on the art studio was an absolute must!  After all, they are the professionals and they definitely know how to get the most out of any space.

Tracy with Organize Simply helped me plan, measure and design the closet.  I shared with her my vision and what I was looking for and she suggested using the closet to store all the art supplies and look how great it turned out!  I never imagined a closet being so pretty!   Who knew a tiny closet would have so much potential?!  We used an Elfa closet system for the shelves and drawers and then baskets like these 2 tone storage bins with handles and storage boxes  for extra storage / organizing.   The inside of the drawers were organized with these trays!

I found these desks at IKEA and the chairs on Amazon!  Check out how darling these pegboards are from IKEA too!

I love working with The Container Store!

If you have any projects in your home that may need a professional organizer’s eye I would highly recommend reaching out to them!  Not only does The Container Store have incredible products but they also offer design and install services… they really have something for everyone and their team has always exceeded my expectations.  As an added bonus their Elfa products are 30% off thru February 26!

Happy organizing friends!

This is awesome! I wish you had items linked from the project so we could look up prices. 🙂

Can you share where you got the linen bulletin board?

This is so awesome. I hope you show more post of your art studio. I wish I had a room to do this for my grandkids.
