If you have been following along for the last year you have probably seen some of my home organization projects I have done in partnership with The Container Store. It all started when they did an overhaul in my pantry and from there I have hired them to organize my garage, my fridge, my kids art studio… and as of late I’ve had the itch to tackle my master bath! I feel like my bathroom counters are always covered with makeup, lip gloss, hair brushes… the list could go on and on, but I have had enough and decided to take on this project. I am so pleased with how it all came together.
For my master bathroom I knew I wanted some thick shelving on the wall to organize some of our bathroom toiletries. From storing makeup to accessories I needed some help but I also wanted it to look esthetically pleasing and complimentary to the décor and features already in that space. I decided to call my brother in law @braddwoodco – he’s literally my go to for all things wood, built-ins, and shelves. He talked me into doing these floating corner shelves and I love how they turned out!
I don’t know about you, but sometimes I have felt like there is “wasted space” in my home. Now that we have these shelves I am able to get the most out of this awkward little corner in my bathroom.
To start I knew I needed something to help organize (aka tame) the makeup fiasco that is always happening on my counters. While I was in The Container Store shopping, I found this clear acrylic makeup organizer. You may be wondering why I chose to go with something clear, but I thought it would be best so that I can see what I have on hand and I also think it will help me to keep it nice and tidy, rather than just tossing everything into a bin where I don’t have the luxury of seeing what’s happening there. 🙂
My bathroom is very white and airy but I have always loved woven or brass accents for pops of warmth. I am so glad I found these baskets, I feel like they tie in perfectly and compliment the warm tones found in the brass trash can as well as the brushed gold containers I have my makeup brushes in and my cute little woven planters.
I was also in need of a good jewelry organizer and I never in a million years would have thought that The Container Store would have one, but they do and not only is it beautiful but it is durable as well. You can find this jewelry box here!
I am addicted to organizing my home now! I feel so much more peace when the things in my home have a place but they are still easily accessible.
Here’s a list of all the products I used in my bathroom to organize this space to be as effective as possible:
- Hand Woven Palm Leaf Basket
- Clear Trays
- Clear Stackable Bins
- Makeup Storage Kit
- Silver Mesh Organizer
- Rolling Hamper
- Brass Metal Trash Can
- Jewelry Storage Kit
- Small Brushed Gold Canister
Hopefully seeing this space will help you with your next bathroom organizing project.
