SWEET POTATO PIZZA CRUST Using a food processor pulverize 2 large sweet potatoes (should yield 3 c mashed sweet potato) Mix in 1/2 tsp minced garlic & 1/2 tsp kosher salt, mix in 2 egg whites. Spread mixture onto a pizza round in shape of round pizza- I love this pizza stone from pampered chef! Bake at 425° for 20 min. Remove from oven and put toppings on. I used arugula pesto (recipe in my ebook) mozzarella cheese (easily omitted if on whole30) diced artichoke hearts, sun dried tomatoes, spinach & bacon. Return pizza to oven and bake for 12 min, broil for 2 to crisp cheese. It’s SO GOOD, husband and kids agree!

This sounds great! One question; should the sweet potatoes be raw, or cooked before pulverizing them? Thanks 🙂

  2. Marsha says:

This is the worst ever! The sweet potatoe crust didn’t bake for an hour, decide to toss this out and never try again!

  3. Jody says:

Do you cook sweet potatoes first?

  4. Jessica says:

Definitely cook sweet potatoes first. This is a variation on a recipe I have used many times. For a gluten free family it is so wonderful and packed with vitamins everyone else misses!
    Enjoy!

  5. Ashlee Thornton says:

I made this tonight and It was great! Thank you!

  6. Janine says:

Wow I’m so excited to try this! My boyfriend has been staying with another woman for the past three weeks, maybe this will bring him back…

    • Bimbo says:

OK soo…WHAT HAPPENED??? Did the crust bring him back? Also, how did he know? Heightened sense of smell? Or did you call him? Please inform. I’m very invested in this story.

  7. hadley says:

This is not “Whole 30” Recreations and Chesse are not allowed. This isn’t even paleo.

Tried this recipe last night. I am on Whole30- so no cheese. I made the crust and used dif. toppings. I have to say the crust stuck to the pampered chef stone and tasted disgusting. Maybe with cheese it would have made it tolerable, do not plan on trying it that way though.
